Washington man accused of blaming dead friend for fatal crash

A 22-year-old Spokane man faces vehicular homicide charges after a May crash that killed his friend and injured others. Prosecutors say he initially tried to blame the victim before admitting he was driving.

Salom Batlok stands accused of one count of vehicular homicide in the death of 21-year-old Dewayne Aiseia and two counts of vehicular assault. The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on May 8 near W. Airport Drive and S. Spotted Road in Spokane when Batlok's BMW struck a pole.
