During a PlayStation State of Play presentation, Koei Tecmo revealed plans for Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, a remastered version launching in June, alongside a new entry in the fighting series. The announcements mark the franchise's 30th anniversary in 2026. Series producer Yosuke Hayashi introduced the projects, highlighting updates and future developments.
Team Ninja has announced that the first major expansion for Ninja Gaiden 4, titled The Two Masters, will release on March 4, 2026. Nioh 3 has achieved a strong launch on PC, peaking at nearly 90,000 concurrent players on Steam. This marks more than double the record set by its predecessor, Nioh 2. The game's simultaneous release on PC and consoles has contributed to its success.
Team Ninja's Nioh 3 offers a denser evolution of its action-RPG formula, allowing players to swap between samurai and ninja builds mid-combat. After five hours of hands-on play, the preview confirms the game surpasses the divisive alpha version earlier this year. Modular levels and enhanced enemy variety aim to refine the series' challenging gameplay.

Kohei Shibata, producer for Nioh 3, has stated that Team Ninja will not include easier difficulty modes in the upcoming action RPG. The game will maintain the series' tradition of a single difficulty level. Shibata remarked that adding such options is something the team has never considered.
