Producer Kohei Shibata announced a free content update for Nioh 3, set for release on April 27. The patch introduces high-difficulty Battle Scrolls, a new Stone of Penance item, and additional skills. Team Ninja shared the details in an official post.
Team Ninja's Nioh 3 offers a denser evolution of its action-RPG formula, allowing players to swap between samurai and ninja builds mid-combat. After five hours of hands-on play, the preview confirms the game surpasses the divisive alpha version earlier this year. Modular levels and enhanced enemy variety aim to refine the series' challenging gameplay.

Kohei Shibata, producer for Nioh 3, has stated that Team Ninja will not include easier difficulty modes in the upcoming action RPG. The game will maintain the series' tradition of a single difficulty level. Shibata remarked that adding such options is something the team has never considered.
