Damen Yachting has delivered Alva, the eighth unit in its Amels 60 series launched in Vlissingen, Netherlands, in July 2025. The 60-metre superyacht, with Espen Øino exterior, Harrison Eidsgaard interiors, hybrid propulsion, and charter enhancements, is en route to Valletta, Malta, for private ownership, luxury charters via Christie Yachts, debut at the 2026 MYBA Charter Show in San Remo, summer Mediterranean voyages, and winter Caribbean season.
Damen Yachting has delivered Alva, the eighth Amels 60 superyacht introduced in 2019, following sea trials in autumn 2025 and a sale in December. Built in Vlissingen with owner-requested modifications for private use and charter appeal, Alva joins sisterships including Come Together (listed at €59.95 million), Entourage (Neptune award winner), and Memories (seventh unit, delivered June 2025) in the Mediterranean charter fleet managed by Christie Yachts.
Measuring 60 metres in length with a 10.4-metre beam, 3.4-metre draught, and 853 gross tonnes, Alva accommodates 12 guests in six cabins—including a main-deck owner's suite with a 75-square-metre folding balcony—and 12 crew. The Espen Øino exterior features signature geometric windows, natural lighting, and functional outdoor spaces. Harrison Eidsgaard interiors offer a sophisticated, contemporary ambiance with navy accents, rich walnut, floor-to-ceiling windows, open-plan salon, dining area, elevator, VIP cabin, and four guest cabins.
Highlights include a 162-square-metre sundeck with outdoor cinema, semi-enclosed gym, spa tub, shaded dining, panoramic platforms, Jacuzzi, sunpads, wellness zone, beach club, and sauna. Hybrid MTU propulsion provides a top speed of 15.5 knots, eco-cruising at 14 knots, a 4,500-nautical-mile range at 13 knots, and electric mode up to 7 knots.
Water toys comprise Sea-Doo WaveRunners, Seabobs, Fliteboard, wakeboards, waterskis, kayaks, paddleboards, scuba gear, fishing equipment, a floating pool, and an 8.6m Pascoe tender. Certified as an RYA watersports centre, Alva offers professional instruction.
Summer 2026 plans include cruises in France, Italy, the Balearic Islands, and Greece, followed by repositioning to the Caribbean for winter 2026-2027.
"Alva brings together Amels' build quality, a beautiful Harrison Eidsgaard-designed interior and a dedicated crew to create a truly special charter yacht," said Will Christie, CEO of Christie Yachts. "She is a welcome addition to our fleet."
Ben Harrison of Harrison Eidsgaard added: "Marking a shift from the natural hues of the previous Amels 60 we designed, this yacht is really something different, an elevated level of sophistication and glamour."
Jorrit Pilaar, commercial executive EMEA at Damen Yachting, said: “Parting with a yacht is always a poignant moment for our team, but we are very happy to see Alva commence this first chapter with her owner."
Damen Yachting has eight superyacht projects underway, including the 120-metre Project Tanzanite and Amels 80 builds.
