Bandara Husein Sastranegara scheduled to resume operations on 17 September 2026

The Ministry of Transportation announced that Bandara Husein Sastranegara in Bandung will resume serving jet flights starting 17 September 2026.

Director General of Civil Aviation Lukman F Laisa stated that Angkasa Pura has prepared the airport for operations on that date. The statement followed a joint inspection with InJourney Airports.

The airport currently only serves propeller aircraft. Planned adjustments include raising the PKP-PK category from five to seven, runway resurfacing, and upgrades to baggage systems, X-ray, and lighting.

The government has also prepared notification letters to stakeholders and is mapping routes based on airline proposals. The airport is planned to serve both domestic and international flights.
