Björklöven mounted a comeback in just 2.45 minutes in the third period to defeat Bik Karlskoga 5–4 in the third game of the HockeyAllsvenskan final. The team now leads the series 3–0 and needs one more win to promote to SHL. The match took place at Nobelhallen in Karlskoga.
Bik Karlskoga took the lead three times at Nobelhallen but could not hold on. The home team led 3–2 after the first period and 4–3 after the second.
Björklöven turned the game around in the third period. Marcus Björk tied it at 4–4 on a power play at 15:04, and Fredrik Forsberg scored the winner with 2:11 left.
"It is the hardest match left, to tie up the sack," says match-winner Fredrik Forsberg to TV4. He adds: "After two we were not damn satisfied with how it looked but we have the strength to stay in the games. In the third we take hold of it. It was nice and incredibly strong to turn it around."
Bik Karlskoga coach Dennis Hall was disappointed: "Sour. This one was and is tough. It becomes a more open match, which we somehow knew beforehand as we adjusted and went a bit more. It paid off. Four goals at home, then you should find a way to win."
Björklöven leads the final series 3–0. The next game is on Wednesday, again at Nobelhallen.
