Building permit granted for TNT factory in Nor

A building permit has been granted for a factory to produce TNT in Nor, Nora municipality. The company Sweden Ballistics is behind the plans. Construction cannot begin until a new detailed plan gains legal force.

Sweden Ballistics wants to build the factory to manufacture the explosive trotyl, also called TNT. The drawings for the facility are subject to secrecy.

The building permit is now approved according to Nora municipality. The permit applies to the area in Nor where the factory is planned.

The company has previously expressed interest in establishing production locally. However, the detailed plan must enter into force before work can begin.
