Daydream, an AI app for personalized outfit recommendations, has turned one year old. The company removed the beta label from its app and expanded its Style Passport feature to better capture user taste.
The updates allow users to input preferences such as inspiring celebrities in addition to brand and size details. Co-founder Lisa Yamner said the changes reflect growing understanding of shopper signals.
Daydream has now surpassed 1.5 million users, with about 80 percent women. A June announcement at Apple’s developer conference increased male sign-ups. Popular queries include bachelorette party outfits and work-event attire suited to artistic venues.
Image search activity rose after events like the Oscars. The company continues adding emerging designers through partnerships to fill gaps in its catalog.
