Dennis Rush passed away after a recent leukemia diagnosis. His longtime friend and fellow actor Keith Thibodeaux shared the news on Facebook, noting that Rush appeared as one of Opie's buddies on The Andy Griffith Show. Thibodeaux recalled their time together at Andy Griffith festivals and mentioned praying with Rush last month after the diagnosis. He described Rush as a fine actor and great friend, adding that Mayberry had lost a valued citizen.
