Digital influencers visit Addis Ababa to promote Ethiopia

TikTok news provider Dylan Page and live streamer Ishow Speed have arrived in Addis Ababa. Their visit highlights Ethiopia's push in digital diplomacy and tourism.

Dylan Page previously visited Ethiopia and reported positively on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and Ethiopian unity. He noted the dam was built through public bonds and local effort.

During his stay in Addis Ababa he toured the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute. Africa has changed he said. Ethiopia hosted a summit attended by over 200 digital creators from more than 30 African countries.

The visit is expected to help promote Ethiopia's image abroad. Distorted narratives cause up to 4.2 billion dollars in annual economic losses according to data presented at the event.
