Of the 986 deeds, 433 went to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at Kisima, 30 to public utilities, 45 to former workers, and the rest to the Kiptuko Group. Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika expressed delight, noting that IDPs can now build homes and plan ahead without fear. She added, “Today is a day of joy for Njoro and Nakuru County. Families who have waited for years can finally settle on their own land, build their homes, and plan for the future. Kisima is no longer just a farm; it is a community of hope, opportunity, and new beginnings.”

The ceremony was attended by the Nakuru County Commissioner, local MPs, county assembly members, and community leaders. The 1,112-acre Kisima farm was bought by the government in 2012 through the Settlement Fund Trustees to house 433 IDPs from pipeline areas in Nakuru County. This action realizes President William Ruto’s pledge to deliver title deeds and address historical land conflicts.

Previously, in October 2025, the government issued 2,752 deeds to Kiptangwanyi residents in Gilgil Constituency, ending a 50-year wait.
