Granma and Nhan Dan strengthen respect and collaboration

A delegation from Nhan Dan, the official organ of Vietnam's Communist Party, visited Cuba from October 16 to 21 to exchange experiences with Granma and participate in the First Granma-Rebelde Festival. This visit highlights the 65 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations, to be commemorated in December. Leaders from both newspapers discussed progress in journalistic cooperation and future projects.

The deep relationship of respect and collaboration between Granma, the official organ of Cuba's Communist Party Central Committee, and Nhan Dan of Vietnam exemplifies the strong bond between the two nations. During the Vietnamese delegation's visit, led by Dinh Song Linh, head of Nhan Dan's Science and Environment Department, experiences were exchanged and participation occurred in the First Granma-Rebelde Festival.

Yoerky Sánchez Cuellar, a Central Committee member and Granma's editor-in-chief, highlighted the mutual admiration between the peoples and thanked Vietnam for its financial donation campaign to Cuba amid the intensified blockade. He presented cooperation achievements, including the special microsite 'Cuba and Vietnam: The Walk' with over 80 articles; journalistic and archival collaborations for significant dates; and coverage of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Dinh Song Linh outlined Nhan Dan's characteristics and recent organizational resolutions, expressing gratitude for presenting their work at the festival alongside Cuban and international platforms. Both agreed on the potential to advance four points: signing a memorandum of understanding, revitalizing content exchange, training in artificial intelligence and its implementation in production processes, and creating a special Cuba-Vietnam fund at Granma's Documentation and Archive Center, the largest in the Cuban press.

The delegation toured Granma's facilities, where they viewed documents on Vietnam's liberation struggle and bilateral history, including a standout photographic collection on Ho Chi Minh. They also visited the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, Vietnamese companies in the Mariel Special Development Zone, and rice-growing areas in Los Palacios, Pinar del Río, advised by Vietnamese experts.
