Harry Meade fell from Cavalier Crystal during the cross-country phase of the Mars Badminton Horse Trials on 9 May. The incident occurred at fence 22ab, but he remains in second place overnight on Annaghmore Valoner.
Harry Meade experienced an unusual fall on his third horse of the day, Cavalier Crystal, at the Mars Badminton Horse Trials. The mare stood on herself at the angled rail after the open ditch in the farm yard combination and dived through the rail, breaking the frangibles and unseating her rider. Meade described the horse as sensational until that point and noted a deep cut on her pastern, while praising her effort to complete the job.
