Adrian Fuentes of Havana Times reports that an upper-level trough stretching from the northern Gulf of Mexico to the Yucatán Peninsula, combined with a surface ridge over the Gulf, has created an easterly to east-southeasterly flow over Havana. This pattern, along with available moisture, is promoting isolated showers and thunderstorms, though without notable rainfall accumulations at present.
Through Saturday, mornings will feature sunshine and some clouds, turning partly cloudy by late morning with isolated afternoon showers. Winds will blow from the east to southeast at 10-25 km/h, while relative humidity ranges from 75% to 95%.
Sea surface temperature remains at 26°C (79°F). On Sunday, a cold front nearing the northwest Gulf will start to slightly change conditions over the capital, without any immediate direct impact.
