Interior Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian stressed the importance of preventing violations to the Election Organizers Honorary Council during the agency's 14th anniversary celebration.
On Friday 12 June 2026 in Jakarta, Tito Karnavian said DKPP success should be measured by the absence of organizers entering prison due to violations. He suggested strengthening prevention principles as the main approach.
The Interior Minister also praised Indonesia's election implementation which he considered to have run well despite the country being the world's third largest democracy. He noted that elections are the only moment for all citizens to participate directly in important decision making.
Tito encouraged DKPP to strengthen the capacity of regional apparatus through education and adequate facilities. The event was attended by DKPP Chair Heddy Lugito as well as leaders of Bawaslu and KPU.
