IVE member Jang Wonyoung discussed her experiences with public attention and her natural positive mindset during a recent interview. She appeared as the cover model for the August issue of Arena Homme Plus magazine.
Jang Wonyoung shared her views on the attention she receives. “Like everything else in life, I don’t think it’s all good or all bad,” she said. “Of course, there can be uncomfortable aspects, but I tend to enjoy those too. Whether something is positive or negative, I believe it ultimately has a good impact on me. So I try to accept everything with humility and enjoy the process.”
She also addressed her outlook on life, often linked to the phrase “Lucky Vicky.” “It’s not that I make a conscious effort to be positive—it’s just how I’ve always lived,” Wonyoung explained. “That’s how it came across in interviews, and that’s how ‘Lucky Vicky’ came about. To me, it’s completely natural, but because people often focus on my positive mindset, I sometimes find myself wondering, ‘Why do I think this way?’ Still, I hope I can continue living just as I am.”
