Lost Society, a Finnish thrash and metalcore outfit, released 'Is This What You Wanted' on February 11, 2026, providing fans with a preview of their forthcoming album Hell Is A State Of Mind. The album, due out on March 6 via Nuclear Blast Records, marks the band's most compelling release to date, according to promotional materials.

The single opens with a grand, cinematic introduction featuring strings and acoustic guitars, transitioning into intense screamed vocals that convey vulnerability and rage. Vocalist Samy Elbanna delivers a visceral performance, as described in the band's announcement. The track is accompanied by an official music video directed by Aleksei Kulikov, which visually emphasizes the song's anthemic and emotional elements.

Elbanna commented on the song's inspiration: “This song comes from the feeling when you’ve worked tirelessly for years on your dream to come true and come to life, and you have these sudden realisations of how many important moments you’ve missed and how big the sacrifices have been that you’ve made along the way. A truly bittersweet feeling, because in the end of the day – they’ve been necessary to ensure your focus on your dreams. Nonetheless, it hurts. This comes from the heart and we hope it speaks to you and makes you remember that your loved ones would always have hoped for you to go after your dreams.”

Hell Is A State Of Mind features 10 tracks: 1. Afterlife, 2. Blood Diamond, 3. Synthetic, 4. Is This What You Wanted, 5. L’appel du Vide, 6. Kill The Light, 7. No Longer Human, 8. Dead People Scare Me (But The Living Make Me Sick), 9. Personal Judas, 10. Hell is A State Of Mind. It is available for pre-order in formats including CD jewel case, transparent red LP sleeve, and transparent blue LP with red splatter.

Following the album's release, Lost Society will embark on a European tour starting March 7, 2026, in Cologne, Germany, with stops in the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, and Sweden. The tour, supported by Finnish alternative metal band Awake Again, includes dates such as March 11 in London at Underworld and March 23 in Stockholm at Debaser Nova.
