Lucy Dacus directs video for planting tomatoes single

Lucy Dacus has directed a new music video for her April single "Planting Tomatoes." The clip was filmed in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia.

The self-directed montage features cameos from Dacus' dad and students from the local youth performing arts group SPARC. It shows a tour of her favorite local spots including Dogwood Dell, Earthfolk Collective, Hollywood Cemetery, and James River Park Pony Pasture.

Dacus is set to begin the latest leg of her tour supporting last year's album Forever Is a Feeling. The tour launches this weekend at the Winnipeg Folk Festival.

A sold out screening of the video is scheduled for July 30 at Richmond's Byrd Theatre, followed by a Q&A session.
