Magnitude 6.0 earthquake shakes central Chile with no tsunami risk

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake recorded at 17:34 on Sunday, May 31, shook central Chile with its epicenter 23 kilometers west of Quintero.

The National Seismological Center reported that the seismic movement had a depth of 30 kilometers and was felt between the regions of Atacama and Maule. The Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Chilean Navy ruled out any tsunami risk.
