Meccha Chameleon sells 10 million copies in 16 days

Indie hide-and-seek game Meccha Chameleon has reached 10 million sales just 16 days after its release on June 10.

Developers Lemorion_1224 and Haganerio announced the milestone in a Steam update. "We hit 10 million sales! Thank you so much for your support!" the message read.

The game lets players disguise themselves using paint tools while others search for them. Its rapid growth stems from word-of-mouth and videos shared by online creators.

Meccha Chameleon follows other low-priced social co-op titles such as REPO, Lethal Company, and Among Us. It is currently sold for £5.29.

Earlier this week the developers added a Japan-themed map after seven million copies sold. The 1.8.1 update was later rolled back on the same day due to a bug.
