Murder suspect extradited from Poland to Sweden

A 49-year-old man suspected of murder has been extradited from Poland to Sweden. The woman was found dead in an apartment in Värnhem at the end of June.

Police have consistently viewed the ex-partner as the main suspect in the investigation. The man had previously been convicted of threats and assault against the woman.

After the murder he fled to Poland. He was arrested in a city about nine miles west of Kraków.

He was placed on an international wanted list shortly after the body was found. The extradition to Sweden has now been completed.
