Nike ACG introduces Zegama Hike boot

Nike's All Conditions Gear line has unveiled the ACG Zegama Hike, a hybrid hiking boot evolved from its popular Zegama trail running shoe. The shoe combines lightweight responsiveness with durable features for rugged terrain. It will launch in July 2026 via Nike and select retailers.

Nike ACG revealed the Zegama Hike on April 15, building on the Zegama trail runner's design to create a boot-shoe hybrid for hiking. The shoe promises lightweight responsiveness and all-day comfort, with a spacious forefoot, ZoomX foam midsole, and Vibram Megagrip outsole for traction on uneven paths. A reinforced upper includes an ankle gaiter to block debris, while a mid-cut provides support and stability through stacked foam construction with a protective rigid layer underneath the ZoomX foam. Brenden McAleese, director of ACG footwear, described it as disruptive, saying, “Zegama Hike is disruptive for all the right reasons, bringing the best of Nike innovation into hiking and delivering a holistic system that puts the athlete’s needs at the center.” He added to Highsnobiety, “Our athletes really love the Zegama, and they told us that if I can run 100 miles in it, it doesn't actually need to change that much to make a great hiking shoe.” Prototypes underwent extensive testing on trails from Oregon to the Alps, with groups in Korea and Los Angeles conducting 10-hour hikes with full packs. Initial colorways include a launch version, two grays (one with blue collar), black with gray details, and all-black. Nike hosted previews showcasing these options, all featuring black Vibram outsoles. The release follows ACG's February recommitment to performance gear, including athlete signings and Olympic collections.
