Kortas Tipidkor Polri revealed alleged corruption methods in coal supplies for power plants from 2018-2026. The investigation focuses on document manipulation and fund flows.
The case was officially upgraded to investigation on July 4 2026 based on Police Report Number LP/A/6/VII/2026/KORTASTIPIDKOR POLRI and Investigation Order Number SP.Sidik/63/VII/RES.3.1./2026/Kortastipidkor.
The Head of Kortas Tipidkor Polri stated investigators found indications of manipulation in coal quality and quantity as well as contract payment discrepancies.
Investigators also opened the possibility of exploring alleged money laundering crimes if evidence is met. State losses still await an investigative audit from BPK.
