A new emblem for the Rajasthan Assembly was launched in Jaipur on May 18, 2026, highlighting constitutional values and the state's cultural identity. Governor Haribhau Bagade unveiled the design during a ceremony marking 75 years of the State Assembly. The event also included naming of 13 gates with symbolic titles.
The emblem incorporates the Khejri tree and the Assembly building to represent the resilience of Rajasthan's people in desert conditions. It also features a camel and the Great Indian Bustard to symbolise cultural harmony, as noted by Governor Haribhau Bagade.
Bagade highlighted the tree-centric culture and sacrifices associated with the Khejri. He described the elements as reflecting courage and a festive spirit amid challenging geography.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani emphasised the body's historic role in Rajasthan's democratic transition from princely states. He called the gate names a value-driven decision that would remind visitors of democratic ideals.
Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa, Opposition Leader Tika Ram Jully, and other MLAs attended the ceremony at the Assembly premises.
