PPIH Debarkasi Medan officials have urged North Sumatra Hajj pilgrims to monitor for symptoms of illness upon their return to Indonesia.
Dr Zulfan Anshori of the Medan Health Quarantine Center delivered the advisory during the welcome for Kloter 06 at the Medan Hajj Dormitory on Monday 8 June 2026. The seven symptoms to watch for include fever, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, sore throat, nausea and vomiting, and diarrhea. Pilgrims are asked to visit the nearest health center promptly if any symptoms appear. PPIH data records that 5,967 pilgrims from North Sumatra will return through Kualanamu International Airport between 2 and 21 June 2026. They are advised to carry their Hajj Health Alert Card, monitor their condition for 21 days, and maintain clean and healthy living habits.
