The French Open is moving forward with plans to enlarge Court 14 at Roland Garros after this year's tournament concludes. The expansion aims to boost capacity and improve the fan experience at the historic venue.
Work on Court 14 will begin this summer, according to Jacques Laurent, director of Stade Français. The court, which currently holds 2,500 seats, has grown too small for the increasing number of spectators who attend matches there during the French Open. Officials have noted that long queues have formed outside the venue in past years as fans sought entry to its matches.
