Tetris: World Builders animated series announced for kids

The Tetris Company has unveiled plans for a new CG-animated series aimed at children aged six and up. Tetris: World Builders will draw on the classic game's falling blocks to promote STEAM learning through storytelling.

The series remains in early development. It follows young characters known as World Builders who respond to falling Tetrimino blocks by using teamwork and problem-solving to reshape their world.

Creators include producers Marco Balsamo and Tara Sibel Demren from TeamTO along with executive producer Chuck Williams. The project was revealed at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Maya Rogers, president and CEO of The Tetris Company, said the series expands the Tetris universe to inspire creativity, collaboration, and discovery. The effort seeks to introduce foundational STEAM concepts via imaginative adventures based on the game's puzzle mechanics.
