On Saturday, April 12, two men were exposed to a dangerous substance at Gävle port. The alarm came in at 17:35, sending ambulance, police and rescue services to the area near a container.
The two men were transported to hospital by ambulance, though their injury status is unknown. Rescue services assisted in decontaminating them on site.
"We suspect it may be a workplace accident," Emil Eriksson of the police told Aftonbladet.
Emil Berggren, alarm and operations officer at the rescue service, confirmed the exposure to TT, adding: "It happened in connection to a container. We assisted in decontaminating the persons."
