UK government provides 25 million Birr technology support for Ethiopia aviation sector

Deputy Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Service Dr. Sisay Tola said the UK government's technology support to modernize Ethiopia's aviation sector will help ensure joint security.

The UK government delivered technology assistance worth 25 million Birr to modernize Ethiopia's aviation sector in a handover ceremony and visit held at the Aviation Security Main Directorate of the National Intelligence and Security Service.

The event was led by UK Ambassador to Ethiopia Darren Welch and attended by high officials from Ethiopian Airlines and the National Intelligence and Security Service.

Aviation Security Main Directorate Director Ato Asrat Kejela confirmed that Ethiopia is a model country in meeting international standards in the aviation security sector.
