PL president Valdemar Costa Neto denied irregularities in directing parliamentary amendments after STF minister Flávio Dino blocked R$119 million in his assets.
Dino's decision was taken in the Operação Transparência investigation. It indicates Valdemar acted as the mastermind in redirecting public funds without holding a parliamentary mandate.
About R$104 million had already been paid. The Federal Police identified 21 suspicious amendments between June 2024 and March 2026.
Valdemar stated that political articulation is natural and legitimate. His lawyers said the measure is based on fragile premises and denied any personal advantage.
