Workshops strengthen human communication in Valle del Cauca

The Valle del Cauca Governor's Office held workshops on oratory and body language to enhance empathetic citizen service. Participants included union members, public officials, and university students. The initiative aims to foster more human and close communication in public service.

In Cali on October 31, 2025, the General Secretariat of the Valle del Cauca Governor's Office organized Workshops on Oratory and Body Language, aimed at strengthening citizen service through human-centered communication. Voice, gesture, and word were the central elements of these sessions, which brought together members of the National Union of State Workers (SUNET), officials from the Ansermanuevo Mayor's Office, and students from the Pontifical Bolivarian University (UPB) Palmira Section.

These encounters united academia, unionism, and public service to highlight the transformative power of words. Liza Rodríguez, General Secretary of Valle del Cauca, emphasized: “Communicating with the heart is the foundation of good citizen service. These workshops allow us to strengthen human skills, promote respect, and build trust among those providing public services”.

During the activities, the Governor's Office's Citizen Attention experience was shared, nationally recognized for its empathetic approach with Valle del Cauca residents. Diego Morales, president of SUNET Valle del Cauca, appreciated the initiative: “SUNET deeply values this opportunity, as it helps us grow as leaders who inspire and build from respect and words”.

From an academic viewpoint, Sandra Lorena Ortiz Villabona, Coordinator of Graduates at UPB Palmira Section, noted: “This alliance with the Valle del Cauca Governor's Office boosts the personal and professional growth of our students, strengthening their ability to communicate with purpose and humanity”.

The workshops, led by communicator Diego Fernando Lozano, seek to train empathetic leaders who transform citizen service, contributing to a more human, participatory, and supportive Valle del Cauca.
