Chef Michael Symon has announced plans for River Roots Barrel Co. Whiskey Bar and Brewery in Cleveland's Flats district. A recent Instagram video provides a first look at the location on Columbus Road. Symon expressed excitement about the upcoming venue.

Chef Michael Symon, known for his culinary ventures in Cleveland, is set to expand his presence with the opening of River Roots Barrel Co. Whiskey Bar and Brewery. The new establishment will be located at 1826 Columbus Road in the Flats area of the city.

On Friday, Symon shared a video on his Instagram account, offering viewers a tour of the space. In the footage, he describes the layout and outlines his vision for the bar and brewery. "It’s going to be HUGE! I can’t wait for you all to see," Symon captioned the post.

As a partner in River Roots Barrel Co., Symon brings his experience from owning Mabel’s BBQ, a Cleveland-style barbecue restaurant. This project marks another addition to his local portfolio, focusing on whiskey and brewing elements. The video gives a preview of the interior, hinting at the atmosphere visitors can anticipate upon opening.

While specific opening dates remain undisclosed in the announcement, the reveal underscores Symon's ongoing commitment to enhancing Cleveland's dining and drinking scene. The Flats, a historic waterfront neighborhood, provides a fitting backdrop for this venture.
