The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, features new launches of beginner-friendly electric and hybrid cars. Running from February 5-15, 2026, the event showcases models like the BYD Atto 3 Advanced Plus and Suzuki eVitara starting at Rp299 million. Manufacturers such as Bridgestone are also participating with efficient tires for electrified vehicles.
The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026, held from February 5-15, 2026, at JIExpo Kemayoran in Jakarta, serves as a key platform for the automotive industry to showcase eco-friendly vehicle innovations. Notable launches include the BYD Atto 3 Advanced Plus variant, an EV SUV designed to be beginner-friendly. It features a 49.92 kWh battery with a range of about 410 kilometers and fast charging capabilities. Luther Panjaitan, Head of Public & Government Relations at PT BYD Motor Indonesia, stated, “Through research and market monitoring, BYD strives to offer increasingly suitable products. The presence of the Atto 3 Advanced Plus provides an additional alternative for Indonesian consumers seeking an EV SUV with advanced and relevant features for daily activities.” Safety features like automatic braking and lane-keeping assist help reduce risks for novices in urban traffic.
In the affordable hybrid segment, Suzuki offers the Ertiga Hybrid GX MT at Rp274.9 million on-the-road Jakarta, with other variants up to Rp298.8 million, and the XL7 Hybrid starting at Rp286 million. The Daihatsu Rocky e-Smart Hybrid is priced at Rp299.85 million, while the Chery Tiggo Cross Hybrid starts at Rp299.9 million. For pure battery electric vehicles (BEVs), the Suzuki eVitara debuts at over Rp755 million, MG S5 EV Ignite at Rp357.9 million, iCAR V23 Pro Plus at Rp789 million, and VinFast Limo Green at Rp299 million during the exhibition promo. Wuling Eksion BEV and Lepas E4 are also launched, though prices are not yet announced.
Bridgestone, the Official Tire Partner, introduces the Ecopia EP300 tire with ENLITEN technology to support efficiency in ICE, hybrid, and EV vehicles. Mukiat Sutikno, President Director of Bridgestone Indonesia, explained, “As the trend toward electrified vehicles develops, consumers need tires that are not only comfortable and safe but also support vehicle efficiency.” New sizes are tailored for models like the Toyota Innova Zenix. The event reflects the strengthening electrification trend in Indonesia.
