Pocketpair's Palworld has sold an estimated 30.5 million units as of July 21, 2026, generating around $700 million in gross revenue from premium copies.
The open-world survival game saw strong performance following its 1.0 release, with concurrent player peaks exceeding those from the 2024 early access period. Steam accounted for 64.9 percent of players, while Xbox held 31.1 percent and PlayStation 4 percent. A 30 percent discount on Steam, which ends this week, contributed nearly 1.5 million additional copies and $25 million in revenue.
Total players exceed 40 million when including around 10 million who accessed the game through Xbox and PC Game Pass. The United States and China each represent about 27 percent of Steam players, the two largest markets.
Pocketpair head of publishing and comms Bucky has teased potential new Pal skins. The game also appeared in a Fortnite in-game survey. Pocketpair has noted ongoing legal battles with Nintendo amid the success.
