AB Yachts launches sporty 94-foot AB 95S yacht

AB Yachts has introduced the AB 95S, a high-performance version of its AB 95 model, capable of speeds over 53 knots. The 94-foot superyacht, equipped with powerful MAN engines, departed the shipyard in Viareggio, Italy, for initial sea trials. It features a lightweight design and luxurious accommodations for up to eight guests.

AB Yachts, part of the Next Yacht Group, recently launched the first unit of its AB 95S superyacht from its shipyard in Viareggio, Italy. This 94-foot vessel, described by the yard as designed for owners seeking 'pure adrenaline,' marks a sportier iteration of the standard AB 95 model.

The AB 95S achieves a top speed exceeding 53 knots in its 'fast lap' configuration, surpassing the AB 95's maximum of 50 knots. This performance comes from four MAN V12X-2200 engines delivering a total of 6,600 horsepower. With a displacement of approximately 100 tons, the yacht benefits from a composite hull and deck reinforced with extensive carbon fiber, contributing to its impressive power-to-weight ratio. AB Yachts notes that the design ensures excellent control, maneuverability, stability, and efficiency even at high speeds.

Exterior differences from the AB 95 include sleeker, aerodynamic lines, a wraparound windshield, and an opening roof in the superstructure for an open-air feel. The main deck flows openly from a large salon through an aft cockpit with expansive glass panels to a beach club area. This beach club accommodates a tender over 13 feet, a Jet Ski, and multiple inflatables, connecting directly to the sea.

Below deck, accommodations comprise a full-beam owner's suite and three guest cabins for up to eight guests, separated from a dedicated crew area. The interior reflects elegant Italian design with refined materials, including insulated panels, leather, and suede in the integrated bridge. Developed with Fincantieri, the high-tech helm station offers ergonomic controls and advanced instrumentation for precise handling above 50 knots.

After completing sea trials, the yacht will receive final outfitting before delivery to its American owner in April.
