Up to 292 Filipino-Americans will join government-guided tours in Manila, Dumaguete and Cebu from July 12 to 21 as part of the 2026 Very Important Pinoy Tour.
The program is organized by the Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the United States. It is a 10-day journey that reconnects participants with Filipino culture through history and tourism.
Upon arrival in Manila, participants will attend a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument. They will then choose from tours to Tagaytay, Pagsanjan Falls or Hidden Valley.
The itinerary then shifts to the Visayas where they will visit Dumaguete City for its museums and cathedral. In Cebu, options include adventure activities such as the Oslob whale shark encounter and wellness treatments.
Alejandra Clemente of Rajah Tours Philippines said this year’s itinerary highlights unique destinations in the Visayas. The VIP Tour was launched 25 years ago by the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Tourism.
