Vice President Sara Duterte visited the Diocesan Shrine of St. Anthony de Padua in Baybay City, Leyte on June 4, 2026, after joining Brigada Eskwela activities at a public school.
In a social media post on June 7, Duterte shared photos of her visit where she offered prayers and lit candles. “We offered prayers and lit candles to thank God for all the blessings and for peace in our country,” she said in the caption. Beyond praying for national peace and unity, she also prayed for the return of her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, to the Philippines. “My countrymen, let us love the Philippines, for God, for country, and for the Filipino family,” she added.
