Anne Hathaway is dishing on her long-awaited return to Christopher Nolan's set after 12 years. The actress plays Penelope in his upcoming The Odyssey adaptation.
Anne Hathaway, 43, reunited with Christopher Nolan for The Odyssey after starring in his 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises and 2014's Interstellar. She told People that working with the director again felt like a homecoming. "One of my things that I was so happy to discover is that Chris is a remarkably consistent human being," she said.
The actress plays Penelope opposite Matt Damon as Odysseus, with Tom Holland as their son. Nolan described the third collaboration as an easy decision and praised the cast for rising to the challenge. Hathaway noted her own growth since their earlier projects, saying she was in an early career stage then.
She added that her love for Greek mythology shaped her take on the role, emphasizing the genuine love match between Odysseus and Penelope. Hathaway also praised costume designer Ellen Mirojnick and the crew, calling the experience one of a kind.
