Anoma has introduced the A1 Prehistoric, a new limited-edition version of its signature watch featuring handmade textures inspired by prehistoric tools.
The watch retains the brand's asymmetrical, lugless stainless steel case but receives a raw, hand-applied texture from French engraver Steven Brunel. Brunel spent five hours on each of the 100 cases using an electric tool after the pieces arrived from CNC machining.
The anthracite dial includes a sunburst pattern with 600 hand-cut lines and no logo or markers. It houses a Sellita SW100 automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve and 50-meter water resistance.
Founder Matteo Voilet-Vianello drew inspiration from a Constantin Brâncuși exhibition in Paris. Each case back features a manually engraved “shadow hand” motif.
The Anoma A1 Prehistoric is priced at £2,900 excluding taxes. Pre-orders opened on July 8 at 15:00 CEST via the brand’s website.
