Apple announced updates to its Wallet app as part of iOS 27 following the company's WWDC 2026 event. The changes include bill splitting via camera and digital pass creation from physical cards. These features are set to arrive later this year.
Apple detailed several Wallet enhancements during its recent developer conference. Users will soon point their iPhone camera at a receipt in Siri Mode to split bills and send payments via Apple Cash. The same camera tool will convert physical loyalty cards or tickets into digital passes stored in the app.
Additional updates include real-time notifications for Disney park visits and expanded details for hotel digital keys. A redesigned Apple Pay checkout will allow swiping between cards and show rewards or balances. Tap to Share will enable secure data exchange with merchants during in-store payments.
The company also plans to let users add funds to debit cards directly in Wallet this fall. These tools build on existing Wallet capabilities for payments and IDs.
