A 33-year-old barber was killed in Neiva during an armed attack aimed at a client. The incident took place in the Siglo XXI neighborhood of the Diez commune.
Guillermo Calderón Cortinez, aged 33 and with no criminal record, died after receiving multiple gunshot wounds while serving clients at an establishment in the Siglo XXI neighborhood. The attack occurred around 6:00 p.m. on May 22.
According to initial reports, the target was an alleged criminal who was getting a haircut at the site. Colonel Héctor Jairo Betancourt Rojas, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, confirmed the homicide and stated that investigations continue to identify the perpetrator.
This killing marks the second armed incident recorded in less than 24 hours in the same commune. The previous night, José Ricardo Leguizamo Iquira, aged 27, was seriously wounded in another shooting.
