Will Smith's former friend Bilaal Salaam has filed a motion asking a judge to order Jada Pinkett Smith to appear for a deposition within 30 days.
According to court documents, Salaam scheduled a deposition for May 20 but Pinkett Smith did not appear. He wants to question her about communications she had regarding him and any authorization of alleged threats.
Salaam claims the threats followed his refusal to assist Will Smith after the Chris Rock incident and his plans to write a memoir. Pinkett Smith has denied the allegations, and most of the suit was previously dismissed.
Her legal team noted she already provided a deposition in a separate proceeding and seeks to limit any new questioning to one hour. A judge has not yet ruled on the request.
