Bruno Guimarães held a press conference on Saturday ahead of the round-of-16 clash against Norway. The midfielder stressed the need to neutralize Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard.
Leading the Brazilian national team with four assists in the 2026 World Cup, Guimarães spoke about Norway striker Haaland. “Haaland, I played against him, for me one of the best attackers in the world along with Kane,” said the Newcastle player.
The midfielder also addressed his individual duel with Martin Odegaard, his Premier League counterpart at Arsenal. “The game is collective, but obviously these individual duels are important,” Guimarães stated.
The match is scheduled for Sunday at 5pm in New Jersey. The Brazilian stressed the importance of training set pieces and denying space to opponents.
