Child bitten by jararaca in Cavalcante airlifted to Federal District

A child was bitten by a jararaca snake in Cavalcante, Goiás, on Thursday afternoon (9/7) and flown by helicopter for treatment in the Federal District.

The Fire Department of the Federal District (CBMDF) carried out the transport after a request from the Goiás Fire Department (CBMGO).

A team from CBMGO took the child and the mother to the helicopter landing area. The flight proceeded to a hospital unit specialized in pediatric care in the DF.

The child remained conscious and oriented throughout the journey, according to the CBMDF.
