CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 40 million copies. The figure marks continued growth after reaching 35 million sales last November. Joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski highlighted the game's lasting appeal.
The Polish studio said the milestone reflects strong ongoing performance for the role-playing game. Nowakowski stated that the sales "show the incredible, lasting strength of Cyberpunk 2077" and demonstrate the company's skill in creating immersive stories.
He added that the result provides a foundation for future projects in the universe. These include the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 anime scheduled for release this fall.
The announcement noted that The Witcher 3 has sold 65 million units. CD Projekt Red continues support for Cyberpunk 2077 with updates such as the recent PS5 Pro version.
