Supply Minister Sherif Farouk met with TMT officials to discuss cooperation on the CARRY ON project and the potential introduction of the French Monoprix chain to Egypt.
The meeting focused on modernising supply outlets and turning them into integrated retail centres. Both sides discussed cooperation with the Internal Trade Development Authority to attract investments and boost sector competitiveness.
Attendees included TMT Chairperson Mahmoud Soliman, Vice Chairperson Alaa Soliman and Franchising Director Tarek Ali. Also present were Internal Trade Development Authority head Hossam El-Gerahy and Holding Company for Food Industries Chairperson Ayman Ismail.
Farouk said the ministry is keen to build effective partnerships with specialised retail management companies. TMT officials expressed interest in transferring their expertise in chain management and franchise systems to support the project.
Both sides agreed to continue coordination and examine proposed areas of cooperation in the coming period.
