PT Elnusa Petrofin has distributed the first batch of Biosolar Industri B50 from Fuel Terminal Indonesia Bulk Terminal Pulau Laut in South Kalimantan. The move supports the government's program to strengthen national energy resilience.
The subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk marked its 30th anniversary under the theme Connecting Your Energy. Chief Executive Doni Indrawan reaffirmed the company's three-decade commitment to delivering energy safely and reliably.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the B50 program could save the state Rp177 trillion in foreign exchange annually. The policy is also projected to cut carbon emissions by 44 million metric tons of CO2e each year.
Airlangga noted that President Prabowo Subianto has launched the B50 program as part of efforts toward energy self-sufficiency. He described B50 as the first of its kind worldwide, as no other country has implemented a 50-50 blend of palm-based biodiesel and diesel.
