One year after its July 2025 launch, the Gerakan Balongan Sehat dan Sejahtera or GARBATERA program initiated by Pertamina Patra Niaga has delivered tangible benefits to residents of Desa Balongan and Desa Tegalurung in Indramayu Regency.
The program, run through Integrated Terminal Balongan, covers health, nutrition, MSME empowerment, and renewable energy. It involves collaboration with village governments, POSYANDU and PKK cadres, health workers, universities, and MSME players.
In May 2026, the Bincang Sehat activity reached 45 POSYANDU and PKK cadres, accompanied by medical equipment aid such as digital scales and tensimeters. The OMSET Balongan group supplied processed fish products eight times to the Free Nutritious Meal program in April 2026, raising members' income by around Rp300,000 per month.
A 10 kWh solar power plant was installed in March 2026 in Desa Tegalurung through collaboration with Universitas Sebelas Maret. Pjs. Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jawa Bagian Barat Reno Fri Daryanto said child health is a future investment.
