Independent wrestler KJ Orso, previously known as Fuego del Sol in AEW, is scheduled to participate in WWE tryouts in Minneapolis this weekend.
Fightful Select reports that Orso will join other independent wrestlers at the tryouts ahead of SummerSlam at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Orso gained prominence in AEW during the pandemic era after appearing on Sammy Guevara's vlog. He signed a contract with the promotion in August 2021 and remained there until his deal expired in 2023.
After unmasking following a career versus mask loss in April 2025, Orso has competed on the independent circuit, including for GCW. Speculation about a TNA deal in January 2026 did not result in a contract.
The tryouts represent an opportunity for Orso to potentially transition to WWE as several other former AEW talents have done in recent years.
