Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a go-ahead two-run home run for the Yankees against the Tigers on Tuesday and celebrated by showing a bucket of lollipops to the camera. The play came one day after manager Aaron Boone spoke with him about playing with a lollipop in his mouth during a game. Chisholm had previously done the same in April.
Chisholm connected in the top of the sixth inning to give the Yankees the lead. He then displayed the lollipops upon returning to the dugout.
Boone addressed the lollipop incident from Monday's game on Tuesday. "I talked to him about it and it should be over with," Boone said, adding that he found it annoying but not a major issue.
Chisholm began the season slowly and recorded his first home run on April 23. Tuesday marked his 12th homer in 52 games since then.
The second baseman was acquired from the Marlins at the 2024 trade deadline and became a free agent after this season.
